Among this group of people who like to skip the movies there will be some who will have interest to install this mod just to see how it plays out like just about anybody has when this game was new to them.
That’s expected from people who have played this game for years. The interest in this will vary because some people will hit the escape button to skip the movie and get right to the game.
Zbyl2 took matters into his own hands and wrote a couple of scripts and created a new module file to restore these movies into game play. What may surprise some of you is that the first Knights of the Old Republic has three Bink cut-scene videos in your movies folder that were unused in the game. You can get any item in the game using the giveitem cheat with Star Wars KOTOR II item codes. Zbyl2 already has a history of restoring content to the Knights of the Old Republic games, so why not add another piece? ) The first Knights of the Old Republic game didn’t have nearly the amount of unused content left in the game like Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords did. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords PC Cheat Codes Once cheats are enabled, press the tilde ( ) key during gameplay to enter one of the following codes and activate the corresponding cheat function. its a must.This is another interesting piece of restored content that we have here. but if you are on a 16:9 there is no way to get fullscreen without a widescreen mod (which reverts to a previous patch that is bugged) so its not really worth it. You can also use an old PC screen so KOTOR 2 will fit the screen. Change it to 1024 x 768 and it will make the window a little larger. If this works and the game runs, at the title screen go to options, then graphics, then click the screen resolution button. The game is crashing on you because of screen ratios. Also, in the Graphics options section type a line that says AllowWindowedMode=1Īlso, you may or may not have to change the line Disable Movies=1 to a 0 and Disable Intro Movies=1 to a 0 in the first section called there is a line that says Fullscreen=1 erase the 1 and put 0 instead.ĭown below is another section called there is another line that says Fullscreen=1. Now go back to the swkotor2 file like i said before. copy it, and save it somewhere else.(make a new folder on your desktop and paste it in there) this way if you mess up, you can always just copy this backup file. Once inside the KOTOR folder scroll down and you will see a file called swkotor2 (its a Configuration setting file, not the Application file). then inside the steam folder find Steam Apps, inside there click a folder called common. Go to your C: then Program Files (x86) then go to the file called Steam. I posted this in another thread and it has helped a few people so i figured id make a thread for it. i see a lot of people here with problems getting KOTOR 2 to work. !!!!-EDIT-!!!!Ī lot of people (like myself) just bought this during the summer sale. Change 1 value and try to run the game before making all changes i list below. Adding the line allowwindowedmode=1 like i say below may now longer be needed. Some changes below may no longer be required.
